Natasha's Law - The Food Information (Amendment) Regulations 2019

The long awaited Legislative update will provide some much needed clarification on allergen contents of consumable products that have been Pre-Packed for Direct Sale ("PPDS"). Individuals with allergies will now be able to make informed purchasing choices and therefore hopefully prevent unnecessary allergic reactions.

Our experienced Consultants have assisted our retail and hospitality clients in reviewing all of their product lines to ensure that any products that fall within the definition of PPDS have compliant ingredient labels with allergens clearly identified well in advance of the legislation commencement date - 1st October 2021. Fortunately, having many manufacturing clients, where there is already a requirement to have full ingredient labels with allergens clearly identified, EHA have been in a strong position to offer tailored support in reviewing HACCP's and Food Safety Policies to achieve compliance in a streamlined manner and enable clients to future-proof production planning and requisite labelling of any PPDS products.

If you have any concerns or queries about whether your currents products, or future plans, might fall under the PPDS definition and would like some more assistance with how to achieve complaince, please do not hesistate to contact our team via our website enquiry page
